10 Top Facts About Encanto – Disney Secrets, Magical Gifts and Cultural Inspirations | Fedrick Fantasy Kingdom
What are the curiosities related to Encanto? Come and find out here on my blog!
Encanto Beginning
Encanto is a Disney film set in the mountains of Colombia. The film focuses on the Madrigals,
a family whose members have received magical gifts, with the exception of one person,
namely the protagonist named: Mirabel. The family lives in a magical house, in a vibrant town,
in a wondrous, charmed place called an Encanto.
During a civil war a young woman named Alma Madrigal loses her husband Pedro but saves her three young children Julieta, Pepa and Bruno.
Through a miracle, a candle held by Alma was imbued with magic and she created a sentient home,
in which madrigals can live and provide a safe haven.
Interlude
One day Antonio, Pepa’s youngest son, acquires the gift of talking to animals and the whole town celebrates while Mirabel,
although happy for him, is saddened by the lack of her gift.
But one day when Mirabel discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger,
she decides save her home and family.
She decides to reveal the prophecy that Bruno observed a long time ago and seeks information about Bruno.
The family does not want to hear about Bruno, so Mirabel enters Bruno’s room and finds the prophecy.
After the family learns that Mirabel has found the prophecy, Mirabel finds Bruno and shortly thereafter the house begins to collapse.
Eventually when Abuela realizes it’s her fault and her pressure on her family, she and Mirabel manage to recreate the house and give her powers back to the family.
