Harry Potter Beginning
Harry Potter is a series of fantasy novels written by J. K. Rowling,
centered on the adventures of the young wizard Harry Potter and his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger,
students at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
The magical world in which the saga is set consists of a parallel society that lives hidden from the rest of the real world,
that of ordinary people, who are defined as “muggles“.
The narrative arc mainly follows the clash between the protagonist and the dark wizard Lord Voldemort,
eager to conquer the magical world and immortality.
Conceived in the early 1990s, the series, published in seven books between 1997 and 2007,
met with widespread commercial and media success, generating a large following among both young people and adults.
Translated into over eighty languages, including Latin and Ancient Greek,
The work remains one of the best-selling book series in publishing history.
The film series inspired by the saga, produced by Warner Bros,
was at the time of its conclusion the highest-grossing film history, grossing over seven billion dollars,
and the films in the series have won numerous film awards.
During the holiday season the Harry Potter movies are a favorite to watch, however,
none of the movies have been strictly a Christmas movie…
so why do the this movies look like Christmas movies?
