Rocks D. Xebec vs Gol D. Roger – Legends of One Piece Compared | Fedrick Fantasy Kingdom
Who truly shaped the pirate era? Explore the epic comparison between Rocks D. Xebec and Gol D. Roger in this article!

Introduction
In the grand tapestry of One Piece, few names carry as much weight as Rocks D. Xebec and Gol D. Roger. They belong to different eras, different ideologies, and different destinies, yet both shaped the world’s seas in ways that still echo today. This article dives into their stories, abilities, backgrounds, and historical impact, not as a direct comparison, but as a chronicle of two legendary lives.
Captain Rocks D. Xebec – The Fallen King of Chaos
Rocks D. Xebec emerged decades ago as the formidable captain of the Rocks Pirates, a crew feared across the seas. His origins are tied to a hidden and ancient lineage: after recent revelations, his real name was disclosed as Davy D. Xebec, linking him to the mysterious Davy Clan, a heritage steeped in defiance and shadows.
Under his command, the Rocks Pirates became the most powerful and terrifying pirate crew of their era. Names that would later become infamous, like those destined to become emperors, sailed under his flag.

Power, Ambition, and the Edge of Madness
Xebec was not merely a leader because of charisma or fear, stories and recent chapters portray him as among the strongest pirates in history. Reports describe him as capable of defeating a Marine Admiral with ease; long before many Yonko rose to power, Xebec was already a terror above ordinary pirates.
Even after suffering a horrific transformation at the hands of the enigmatic ruler Imu, acquiring demonic strength and regenerative abilities, Xebec fought on. Sources say that he resisted Supreme King Haki long enough to clash against future legends with full force.
And yet, in spite of raw strength and ambition, fate turned against him. The infamous God Valley Incident marked the downfall of his dream: a rare alliance, forces of pirates and Marines, struck and extinguished the Rocks Pirates. Xebec fell, and with him, the crew disbanded.
Today his name remains a legend whispered in fear, a potent reminder that even the greatest power can be erased when the world conspires against you.

Gol D. Roger – The Pirate King Who Changed the World
Gol D. Roger’s story is that of ambition, discovery, and legacy. Born in East Blue and raised through hardship, he found purpose after meeting the notorious sailor Silvers Rayleigh; together, they founded the Roger Pirates, setting sail for unknown seas and shaping destinies.
What distinguished Roger was not only his strength, but his vision. He became the first pirate in recent history to circumnavigate the Grand Line and reach the final island, Laugh Tale, obtaining the legendary treasure known as One Piece, and with it, a knowledge of the world’s forgotten history.
Despite illness, danger and the inexorable passage of time, Roger remained resolute. He eventually chose to surrender himself for public execution, a calculated act meant to ignite the flames of freedom across the seas. His final proclamation transformed the world: his death marked the beginning of the Great Pirate Era.
In Roger’s legacy lies hope, freedom, and inspiration. For generations, pirates have raised their sails in his name, chasing dreams, seeking treasure, and rewriting their own fate.

Why Their Stories Still Matter
Rocks D. Xebec and Gol D. Roger represent two different faces of piracy in One Piece. Xebec is the embodiment of chaos, rebellion, raw power, and the dangerous ambition to rewrite the world. His rise and fall show how fragile supremacy can be when built on fear and carnage.
Roger, by contrast, stands for legacy, freedom, choice, and hope. He proved that strength alone doesn’t define greatness, vision, will, and courage shape legacies that survive centuries. What rocks erode and time forgets, ideals can endure.
Even now, in 2025, after new chapters and revelations, their shadows cross paths once more. The lore of the Davy Clan, the identity of Xebec, the hidden threats of the World Government, all converge in a world shaped by their deeds.
To understand the seas today, one must remember their stories. Because every sail raised, every treasure sought, every horizon chased, is part of the heritage left by these two legendary pirates.
